Find a clear view behind the court
Use landscape and place your phone or camera behind the court, on or behind the curved line shown here. Fit as much of the court and all players in the frame as practical. Choose a height that gives a clear view. For doubles, moving slightly to either side can reduce players blocking one another.
Keep the camera still
A tripod is recommended. Secure your phone or camera before recording and leave it in the same position throughout play. Avoid handheld filming, panning, tilting or changing zoom during a rally: camera movement can make rally detection less reliable.
Keep the view clear
Where possible, choose a spot away from walkways so people do not cross in front of the camera. Passers-by, blocked players and activity on nearby courts can make rally detection less reliable.
